Adjustment Techniques
At Basler Chiropractic, we use a variety of safe and effective adjustment techniques to meet your unique needs. Each method is designed to restore proper alignment, reduce nerve interference, and help your body heal naturally. Whether you prefer gentle, instrument-assisted care or traditional hands-on adjustments.
Activator Adjustment
Uses a small handheld spring-loaded instrument called an Activator to deliver gentle, controlled impulses — ideal for patients who prefer low-force adjustments.
Manual Adjustment
The most widely used method. It involves quick, precise manual thrusts to restore proper alignment and improve joint movement — often producing the familiar “popping” sound.
Gonstead Technique
A detailed, hands-on approach that uses X-rays and spinal analysis to identify specific problem areas and deliver highly targeted adjustments.
Thompson Drop Table
Uses a special table with drop pieces that gently lower during the adjustment, allowing gravity to assist with the correction for a smoother, lighter feel.
Flexion-Distraction
A gentle, non-thrusting technique performed on a special table that moves the spine in a rhythmic motion — often used for disc issues, sciatica, or lower back pain.
Webster Technique
A specialized method focusing on pelvic alignment and balance, commonly used during pregnancy to help create optimal conditions for both mom and baby.
